Help & FAQs
Choose once; switch tools freely.
Resize for a layout or thumbnail, or fit images to a common canvas. Choose a preset or custom dimensions and review the actual output size; enlargement is off by default.
How to use this tool
- Choose one or more static JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or uncompressed BMP images, a folder or a ZIP archive.
- Enter width and height, or choose a percentage. Review the ratio lock and enlargement setting.
- Choose a format, process and compare the actual dimensions before downloading.
Pixel dimensions and proportions
With the ratio locked, editing either dimension calculates the other from the oriented original. Whole-pixel rounding may slightly change the ratio. Unlock it only when you want to stretch the image.
Percentage mode accepts 1–1000%. With enlargement off, an oversized request is reduced to fit the original. Outputs stay within 8192 pixels per side and 16 million pixels.
Fit, fill or pad a canvas
Fit within keeps the whole image and exports dimensions no larger than the requested box. Crop to fill covers the box and removes the excess; select the center or an edge to keep. Pad to canvas keeps the whole image on an exact-size transparent or colored canvas.
Square 1080 × 1080, portrait 1080 × 1350, landscape 1920 × 1080 and social preview 1200 × 630 presets use crop to fill. With enlargement off, a crop request is reduced to the largest achievable box at that ratio; padding can still add space around a smaller image. Review the actual dimensions before processing.
Process a folder or ZIP locally
Import up to 50 images, 100 MB of input and 100 million pixels in total. Each image must stay within 15 MB, 16 million pixels and 8192 pixels per side. Folder imports include nested folders; non-image files are skipped. All files stay in this page’s memory.
Apply the same settings and process images one at a time. Failed images are listed separately and do not block other files. Preview individual results or download a ZIP with preserved folder paths and unique output names. Encrypted ZIPs, ZIP64 and nested archives are unsupported. Changing settings clears old results; cancelling keeps already completed results.
Common questions
Does resizing guarantee a smaller file?
No. File size also depends on the output format and encoding quality. Use the compressor when you need a byte limit.
Can I enlarge my image?
Only when you enable enlargement. More pixels do not restore detail missing from the original.
What happens to transparent areas?
PNG and WebP can retain alpha. JPEG fills these areas with the selected background color.
