Convert between time zones
Dates and time zones stay in this browser. No time server, upload or saved history.
Help & FAQs
Enter a date, a source time zone and a destination. Review the same instant with each UTC offset.
How to convert a time
- Enter a local Gregorian date and time between 1970 and 2100.
- Choose IANA region identifiers, such as America/New_York and Asia/Tokyo.
- Convert. If the source clock repeats, choose the earlier or later occurrence under Time rules, then convert again. Copy or download the actual result.
Local time and explicit clock-change rules
Input accepts Gregorian dates from 1970 through 2100, with seconds and no leap seconds. Use UTC or IANA region identifiers; ambiguous abbreviations such as CST are rejected. Changing any input clears the old result. The report stays on this page until you explicitly copy or download it.
Common questions
What happens during a daylight-saving change?
A skipped local time is rejected. A repeated local time requires an explicit earlier or later occurrence; the default asks instead of silently choosing. Half-hour changes and skipped calendar days are included.
Where do the time-zone rules come from?
The browser’s Intl time-zone database is used locally. It may be older than the latest IANA release, and future political changes can alter results. UTC offsets are for the selected instant, not a promise of future schedules.
Is this a time synchronization or timestamp service?
No. This converts one civil time between regions. It does not contact a time server, infer your location, convert Unix timestamps, or calculate calendar durations.
